HW for the Wed nite Class---due next wed the 14th.... it will be a draft nite....

Hey there,

for next Wed, we have a couple things to do:

we are doing a draft day.... You will be bringing 12 or so body paras (dont worry about intro yet...we will talk about it during class on the 14th.)

to get your 12 paras you should do the following:

1. If you need to revise your Q1 & 2  paras based on the comments from me or from students, you should do that--(or if you didnt do all 6 paras yet you need to do that...)--bring the revised paras--

possible quote sources: Passion Movie, your interviews, outside sources, the Indian Guy feeding homeless, your other classes....

2.  We will also  be bringing the next 2 questions from the essay assignment--Qs 3 and 4.

Pls do Rule of 3 for both Q 3 and 4....

pls bring 12  paras total, pls bring 2 copies of your essay either on hard copy or computer... (you need to be able to share in class)

of course you will want to bring in quotes...
here are some sources for quotes and ideas for Qs 3 and 4.

I will also be sending you via email a pdf of an article that has some really interesting ways to look at community strengths. "Whose Culture has Capital" by Yasso... it is really important that you read it...esp. the ideas starting on pg 77 about types of capital...

below is another article you can draw quotes from ... this from the New York Times:
