2. What was it like to attend the Palma Ceia Fest? (you can talk about interacting with the citizens.. the vibe of the event itself... the goals of this event...how your project was received...etc..)

If you  DO NOT GO to the Palma Ceia Fest here are your questions:
1. What is like doing Project Based Learning? (you can talk about working in group...doing art...combining writing and multi media... you can compare the experience to other classes...
2. What do you think the relationship should be between a community college and the surrounding community (you can talk about interacting with citizens... the goals of this interaction...how you would like to see the college interact with the community...etc..)

You will do double space, 12 point font..for each question you want to write at least 1.5 pages... with 3-4 pages total...

You will really want to dig deep into your thoughts... the real audience for this is the city of Hayward as well as teachers and administrators at Chabot...

Your Booth assignment for the Palma Ceia Fest

The booth that you will be creating for the Palma Ceia Fest is a really important part of this class. This is a graded activity. It is actually your 3rd major assignment. (the other two of course are paper 1 on Suburbs , and your project proposal is the second.)

Your booth will have writing, art, pictures, FAQs, props, games, etc. It should be interactive, visual, and do a great job of explaining your project.

Even if you cannot come to the event on Saturday, July 28th, you will still be required to create your booth.

Your booth needs to be created and done by Thursday July 26.

On Monday and Tuesday of next week (July 23 and 24) all the classes will meet in SIC. You will have the opportunity at that time to work on your booth art and to create tri-folds, etc.----You can bring any art supplies you think you might need, and we will also have some available. You will also be making name cards at that time....

1. hey all, so you have done your FAQ's. Please revise them based on our advice. You are striving for accuracy of answers, good logic flow of the Questions (for ex: The first question should be "What is the project?") and having nothing missing. Be sure to proof your FAQ's. They should be very clean in terms of grammar/punctuation.
Pls bring a hard copy, or on your computer, or email it...

2. In addition, pls create a very detailed "Materials List" for you table. This list should include all the stuff that you will need to make your table a success. Pls be very detailed, and complete. Sweat the details, lol.

weekend investigation / Home work

Hey all, so over the weekend you have the following things to do.

1 We asked you in class "if you had more time, what would you do to improve your proposal." What ever you wrote for that question, pls do this over the weekend.

2. Pls write up 2-3 paragraphs about what you could imagine your table looking like at the festival. visuals? protoypes? tri-folds? games? surveys? art? video?  etc... the goal is to make it so that someone who walks up will really engage with your project.
