1. In class we Generated a bunch of reasons that you think people don't get more involved in the issues that are around them. (this is essay Q1)
Now that we have brainstormed all these reasons, pick the best 3 reasons that you came up with that you think you want to write about...

Keep in mind that you should try to avoid picking reasons that are similar to each other.
once you pick the 3 best that you like, write up 3-4-5 sentences for each one, expanding the discussion of each. (You are essentially creating the topics sentences for each reason.)
2. Pls read the attached article that is about the work community groups are doing in cities....
once you read it, come up with 3 ideas in the article that can be applied to question #4 from the essay...write up those 3 ideas and bring to class on Tues...

3. Pls watch this cool video about this concept called "Participatory Budgeting."
Once you watch it, go back to the reasons you came up with for why people don't get more involved (from Q1 above)
For each of the reasons you came up with, ask yourself "Does this movie address (and maybe even solve) the reason?"
Pick 3 reasons that the movie seems to try to address...
I think you will find that a LOT of the issues you came up with for why people don't get involved are addressed by this movie....
Next, spend time on the website, and learn what you can about this concept of PB...THEN, write up a 1-2 para summary about what PB is...(this will probably end up in Q4 of your essay
