Essay #4 -- due dec 18th by email....

For this essay #4, you are going to be exploring these questions:

  1. What did you "discover" when you attempted to get closer to nature, by spending time in nature and/or by spending time with an animal(s)? (this question is asking you to think about what you learned about yourself in trying to get closer to nature. Thus, Q1 is a lot like Q5, SO, you only need to answer Q1 OR Q5.)
  2. What does Eiseley seem to doing with his writing?
  3. What is he trying to teach us?
  4. What do you think of Eiseley's efforts to look for the poetic aspects of life out in the biological world? (Most trained biologists don't do this in their writing or work.) (this Q kind of answers Q2 , at least for one of your Rule of 3 paragraphs..
  5. What did you learn this semester about your own relationship with nature?
  6. What did you learn this semester?
