Hey all!
so lets get rolling here. Once you do this HW, which is due next Mon, the 26th, you should print out a copy to bring to class... you have several things to do:
1. Pls write 3-4 paragraphs that talk about your impressions of the Chabot Knowledge Garden. Use your 5 senses, and give us details.
2. What are 3 Questions that you have about the Garden? If you can ANSWER the questions, then do so. If you arent sure about the answer, then we will try to answer them in class on next Tues.
3. Below are 6 different links....2 are videos and 4 are websites. They are all about SOIL. (we are starting at the bottom, lol) For this HW, you should first go through the 6 links. Some of them are very short and simple, and some are more complex and detailed. Once you have gone through these links, you have questions to answer. For each question, you should write at least one paragraph. (Dont do short one/two sentence answers.)

It is CRUCIAL that you answer these questions in your own words. (you CAN put short quotes in your paras.) To avoid plagiarism, read or watch the source 2-3 times, so that you REALLY understand it---then simply write your para without LOOKING at the original source. It works every time. Here are the questions:
- What IS soil?
- How does it get created?
- Why is important for gardeners to know what kind of soil is in their garden?
- What are the things that we test for when we test soil?
- Which soil test do you like the most, and why?
- What else do you want to say about soil?
